2 Dropzones On Long Island |
The
Truth---Skydiving on Long Island |
This
is an objective view concerning the information on Skydiving
on Long Island. I have no affiliation with any Skydiving Centers.
First and foremost, There are companies that are just booking agencies, such
as Skyride, and most 800 #s, that will take your money, and send you to western
Pa. To jump. They have many web-sites that LOOK like real Drop Zones, but are
nothing but a web-site. If you call one of the 800 #s ask where is the physical
location of their Drop Zone---BEFORE you give them your credit card, (they will
never refund your money).
There are only two locations on Long Island to Skydive - Skydive Long Island,
in Calverton, and Long Island Skydiving Center in E. Moriches. The similarities
end with their names. They are Not associated with each other even though
Skydive Long Island had operated out of Spadaro's for many years. |

I
would suggest that if you are not sure which one to go to-----take
the time to visit Both Drop Zones, then make your choice----one
is very nice and big, the other is very small with Rvs trailers,
small buildings, and fences in the way. Long island Skydiving Center does NOT skydive over the Hamptons as stated on their web-site--they jump in East Moriches--a BIG difference!!
Thank You,
See you in the air---13,500' is safe and beautiful. |
